LYO FIGUEROA

Attorney

Lyo clerked for the Honorable William Monroe in Orange County Superior Court while attending Whittier Law School. After graduating in 2006 with honors, he specialized in civil litigation and employment law before opening up his own practice in 2010 to focus on workers’ compensation so that he could help hardworking people get what they deserved. Born and raised in Santa Ana, it is important for Lyo to be able to bring his smart, savvy, and caring approach back to the community and give a voice to those that are often unrecognized for their contribution to the workforce. Additionally, Lyo also practices personal injury and is proud to serve anyone who needs legal representation. He is a former President of the Orange County Hispanic Bar Association, an active member of the California Applicant’s Attorney Association, and was recognized as a Rising Star in 2019 Super Lawyers Magazine. Lyo loves to spend his spare time with his family and volunteers as a basketball and soccer coach in Irvine, California.

JEANNIE WONG

Hearing Representative, Juris Doctor

Jeannie entered the workers’ compensation arena in 1987 when she joined California’s largest workers’ compensation insurance company, State Compensation Insurance Fund. After gaining invaluable experience, she entered the med-legal industry where she served as a marketing liaison between applicant attorneys and physicians. She discovered that her heart was for the underdog and she went to law school at Chapman Law to finesse her skills. She joined the applicant side of workers’ compensation in 1998 and has never looked back, relishing the opportunity to advocate for the injured worker. In her spare time, she plays Texas hold’em and is an NBA aficionado.

JACQUELINE LEMUS

Assistant

Jacquie comes from a background of medical workers’ compensation. She has vast experience as a receptionist, medical biller, and patient coordinator. Her passion is to help injured workers understand their right and benefits, and make their process to recovery go as smoothly as possible. She is excited to join the Figueroa Firm to showcase her talents and continue helping others. She always has a ready smile and a willing personality to assist whenever and wherever she can. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family and working on her side ventures of fitness and eating healthy.

CRISTINA GARCIA

Case Manager

Cristina has had a wealth of experience in workers’ compensation having started in the field in 2009. She has predominantly worked on the applicant/injured worker’s side and finds it especially rewarding because of the opportunity to help the Latino community. Since joining the Figueroa Firm in 2014, she has grown into her role as a case manager and is readily able to give her guidance to clients to make their case more understandable and less stressful. In her spare time, Cristina loves to explore new adventures with her daughter Sofia. She is a music and movie enthusiast.

NORMA LOMELI

Personal Injury Case Manager

Norma has been working in the legal field as a personal injury representative for almost 15 years. She joined The Figueroa team in March of 2021 and says she loves being part of this office. Norma believes that it is big deal to be part of our firm and wants to demonstrate her commitment to show our clients that we are different. She is highly motivated and dedicated to each and every client and strives to achieve professional achievements and finalize each case in their best interest. Norma finds a deep level of personal satisfaction in helping clients understand the process of their case and will always be available to explain day-to-day progress to keep clients informed as she believes that one of the most important aspects of her job is to make our clients feel comfortable with us. Norma loves music, movies, walks on the beach, spa days and spending time with her family. She has been enjoying her 1st grandson born in May 2021 and expecting her 2nd in December 2021.
